"There are not enough words. They are like family. They are awesome!"
Resident Story
Janice Grove’s recovery is a remarkable story of resilience and expert care. On Mother’s Day, as she prepared to go to church, Janice stopped by her granddaughter’s house to pick up her Bible. What should have been a routine visit turned into a life-altering moment when she tripped over a dog gate, resulting in a broken arm and fractured pelvis. After surgery at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Janice chose Amber Manor for her rehabilitation, facing the challenge of being non-weight-bearing on her left side for six weeks.
Despite the initial struggles, Janice’s determination to regain her independence never wavered. With the unwavering support of the therapists at Amber Manor, whom she describes as “awesome” and “like family,” she made incredible progress. In just two months, Janice surpassed expectations, achieving what doctors had initially predicted would take much longer. Today, she has returned to her normal activities—walking, attending church, and completing puzzles—fully embracing her active lifestyle once again. Grateful for the care she received, Janice found peace and comfort in her rehabilitation, crediting both her faith and the exceptional therapy team for her successful recovery.
