"The therapy staff is wonderful here at the Willow at Bowling Green. I will miss seeing them each day."
Rita Joan McCormick recently completed her rehabilitation at Willows at Bowling Green, overcoming a challenging recovery after breaking her wrist in a fall at her local community center. Joan, known for her lively spirit and love for walking, playing euchre, and socializing, faced a significant setback when her injury left her unable to use her dominant hand. Previously fully independent, Joan found it difficult to manage her daily routines without the use of both hands, making even the simplest tasks a challenge. Determined to regain her strength and mobility, Joan set her sights on getting back to her community walks and reclaiming her everyday routine.
Thanks to the dedicated and thorough support of her therapy team, Joan not only restored her range of motion and strength but was also able to return to her beloved activities. Joan describes her therapists as “wonderful” and “fun to work with,” noting their remarkable dedication to each patient. As she celebrates her return to independence—able to shower, enjoy outings, and spend time with friends once again—Joan leaves Willows at Bowling Green with gratitude, knowing her journey back to wellness was made brighter by the compassionate team she will surely miss seeing every day.
