Success Story: Debi M.

"I LOVED my experience at The Heritage! I made very good friends, and I look forward to therapy every time I go... It’s like I added 10 kids to my family—I truly love all of them!"

Resident Story

Before Synchrony Rehab, Debi suffered stroke symptoms, followed by a diagnosis of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome.

Between stays, she fell and broke her hip after an episode of syncope. Two weeks post-op, she developed a hematoma, followed by vertigo episodes; all of which she received treatment for at The Heritage.

Debi had extremely limited mobility as a result. She could not stand, walk, or use the bathroom independently. She wanted nothing more than to go back to operating her own business and avoid “being a burden to her family.”

What were you unable to do when you came here?

I could not stand, walk, or use the bathroom independently.

What are you able to do after you received this therapy?

After my skilled stays, I continued with outpatient therapy at the Heritage. I can [now] drive my car, run my business, and get myself around independently 99% of the time.

How would you describe your therapists here?

It’s like I added 10 kids to my family. I truly love all of them! I feel like I made very good friends, and I look forward to therapy every time I go.
